Photography
While not always considered a from of traditional 'art', photography has been used artistically to create meaning and expression for years. It may not require as much thought or skill as painting a scene from scratch, but makes an image more accessible, shareable and communal rather than competitive - by only requiring a tool you usually keep in your back pocket.
We all encourage people to get out in nature to create memories, but there's no harm in wanting physical memory - in fact, that's exactly what cameras were designed to do.

Our own photography may feature more organic objects of focus, but anything in the image - artificial or natural, human or animal, can be captured. At Cloister, we understand that as long as there is meaning, there is value. Probably not financially if it's a low-resolution shot of your ancient goldfish who will likely outlive both you and the next era of photographic technology - but there is sentimental value in clear places.
